What Is The Standard Slat Gap Size?

Our panels feature a precise 10mm gap size. This specific spacing is engineered to hit the perfect balance for Australian homes:

Privacy: It is tight enough to block direct visibility from the street (“anti-peep”).
Safety: It prevents footholds, making the gate difficult to climb.
Stability: Because these are pre-made panels, the slat spacing is fixed at 10mm to ensure structural rigidity and consistent airflow.

Is This Suitable for Security Purposes?

Yes. Unlike lightweight DIY screens, our gates are built on a rigid steel frame, making them effective Security Fencing for side alleys and front boundaries. Each Brand new panel is designed to work seamlessly with high-quality Gate hardware like deadbolts and key-lockable latches to keep your property secure.

Can I Install This As a Sliding Gate?

Our standard gates are set up as a Swing Gate . However, because they are part of our modular Slat Fencing & Gates system, they can often be adapted for sliding setups or fixed panels. If you need a specific Vertical Slat Gate or a custom sliding configuration, please ask our team for a quote.

Do You Offer Colours Like Woodland Grey?

We offer a large colour range with 19 powder coated aluminium finishes, including Woodland Grey, so if you need a different colour for your fencing project, please contact our customer service team to discuss options and availability.

Does It Come With The Lock and Posts?

No. As every setup is different, posts are not included and gate lock/latch is not included in the panel price. You can add matching Aluminium Post options and your preferred lock or standard latches from our online store before checkout.

Do I Need to Buy Posts If I Have a Brick Wall?

You can mount the gate directly to brickwork, but we highly recommend installing a matching Fence Post against the wall first. This ensures your hinges have a perfectly flat surface and provides a cleaner finish for your Aluminium Gates, backed by our structural 10 Year Warranty.
